This has been done on the run and possibly a little short of content about just how good this fellow, Lance Lincoln is.
In answers to your questions, I will be to the point about a construction site manager who is engaging of his role for me to say Smithy’s Contracting would work for and alongside him on any project. Why – no “BS” or nonsense about him – you see and get what you see with honesty and integrity.
1. When you worked with Lance what was both your working relationship and position?
Smithy’s Contracting are waterproofing contractors for the past 50 years and Lance has been site manager on three successful projects we have been engaged on – some of them were non easy projects but Lance seemed to smooth off the square corners to keep the job rolling.
2. Could you please provide a brief summary of his position, the responsibilities within Lance’s role and what his performance was like based on these?
Responsible leadership to a vast number of men representing various onsite and offsite trades coordinating all to delivering finished products and procedures generally on time.
3. How many direct reports did Lance have?
I understand this question to mean who he was reporting to – I know through conversations he reported to the managing directors, construction managers and project managers of Stevens Construction and Matrix Projects.
4. How was Lance’s knowledge within Construction, D&C in general?
Lance’s knowledge appeared to be vast, visionary, and complete.
5. How would you describe Lance’s ability to see a project from concept to completion?
Lance has the ability to speak about what I call “divorce before the wedding”, many times identifying solutions to possible problems long before they become complicated.
6. What project/s was it he work on for you and their cost?
Smithy’s has worked on Stevens Construction Project at Greenwich, Matrix projects at Artarmon and Annandale.
7. How was Lance’s skillset across Management and direction, What were his strong points in this role?
Lance can read detailed drawings isolating missing information by architects, planners and consultants therefore dealing with delays before they happen whilst coordinating trades to construct.
8. How was Lance’s Ability to deliver tasks, accurately on time and under pressure?
Lance is a professionally cool minded, grounded operator who is composed as a leader should be throughout all dealings that I have been involved with or witnessed him being involved in where the other trades have been demanding and arrogant.
9. Would you work with Lance again?
Absolutely – its not every day you get the work with a quality operator like Lance Lincoln.
10. Any further comments?
Lance Lincoln has been found by my team at Smithy’s and myself of 50 years in business to be decent, down to earth leader of men in a non-invasive way to achieve success in the projects he is incharge of.
